1931 Red Wing Pottery No. 159 Deco Vase
A beautiful vintage Red Wing Pottery double-handled vase, Shape No. 159, featuring a striking Art Deco interpretation of classical Greek design. This elegant vase showcases a cream-colored body with crisp black and deep green decoration, including stylized Greek figures around the shoulder, geometric borders, and an intricate abstract pattern covering the body. The rich emerald green glazed interior contrasts beautifully with the matte ivory exterior, while the angular twin handles complete the distinctive amphora-inspired form. One of the standout features of this example is its exceptional condition. The original blue Red Wing factory stamp remains remarkably crisp and well-defined, and the glaze retains a fresh appearance with virtually no crazing. It presents as an exceptionally well-preserved example, displaying much as it would have when it left the factory. This vase is in outstanding vintage condition. The glaze is exceptionally clean with little to no visible crazing, the colors remain vibrant, and the original factory stamp is unusually sharp and legible. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
